- Projection = how far the casing stands out from the wall — chosen to match the building’s reveal depth.
- Return (into wall) = engineered, one-piece-extruded length — calculated for the profile, not the longer the better. Cannot be extended, but may be trimmed shorter to suit site conditions.
- Wall thickness scales with projection — wider projections use thicker aluminum to keep the profile rigid across the cantilever.
- Color note (important): the WCT modern series is stocked in Tiger Gray and Tiger Black only (no Tiger Coffee). For Coffee-toned facades, specify the ZSWCT profile, which carries all three stock finishes.
- Cut to your required length in-house. Casing pieces are factory-mitred at 45° and packed per opening (4 pieces for a window casing, 3 for a door frame, 2–4 per bundle for eave drip); corner brackets and screws ship in a separate accessory box.

Every order ships as factory-prepared kits: casing pieces pre-cut to your dimensions, mitred at 45°, packed per opening — 4 pieces for a four-sided window casing, 3 for a door frame, 2–4 per bundle for eave drip. Unbox and assemble — no on-site cutting, no measuring errors.

Trim & Termination Pieces
For four-sided window casings and three-sided door frames, all joints are sealed with weatherproof sealant — no trim pieces needed. Trim is only occasionally used for eave drip installations where the profile cannot terminate cleanly and the raw cut end is exposed. Two optional paid accessories are available, serving the same purpose with different precision:
- Aluminum trim piece — standard flat trim, glued on with sealant. Lower profile, lighter finish.
- CNC custom trim piece — project-specific CNC-machined component, thicker section with built-in snap-fit plus sealant. Higher precision and finish.
Pricing note: corner brackets and screws are included at no extra cost. Aluminum trim pieces and CNC custom pieces are optional paid accessories, quoted per project on request.

Installation
Installed in 7 Steps — Concealed Fasteners Throughout
Tools: a cordless drill, structural sealant, and a hex key. Wall fixing uses drilled self-tapping screws (concrete / brick / steel-stud / wood frame).
Best practice: install the casing BEFORE the exterior wall finish (paint / render / plaster / tile / stone cladding). The corrugated installation flange keys into the render for a strong, crack-free bond. If the exterior finish is already done, notify us at order time so the installation flange is factory-trimmed off — the casing then installs directly on top of the finished surface.
- Assemble the frame. Join the pre-mitred casing pieces into a single frame with the supplied corner brackets and screws, on a flat surface.
- Lift the frame into the wall opening. Dry-fit to check level, plumb and diagonal.
- Fix both flanges. Drill and drive self-tapping screws through the installation flange into the wall structure (concrete / brick / steel-stud / wood frame), and through the wall-side return into the opening along the screw positioning line.
- Apply the exterior wall finish. Render / paint / tile / stone the wall, covering the installation flange for a seamless, crack-free junction.
- Set the window or door frame. Place the frame inside the casing, aligned with the window/door positioning line — it covers all screw heads on the return. No exposed fasteners on the finished casing.
- Fix the window/door frame as normal (screws, expanding foam / cement mortar) through the front of the casing.
- Seal every joint. Weatherproof sealant at the casing-to-frame seam, all four mitred corners, and the casing-to-wall seam.
Concealed-fastener design: the window/door frame covers every screw on the return — the finished casing shows zero fasteners, the core visual upgrade over PVC and wood casings.
Three Uses, One Profile
One Profile, Three Exterior Window Casing Applications
The WCT profile carries a return flange + drip edge + installation flange in every meter — one extrusion, three uses, one installer crew.
① Full Window Casing (4 sides) The most common use. Top + two jambs + bottom surround the window opening. Drip edges shed water on the jambs and head, and act as a drip line on the sill.
② Door Frame Casing (3 sides: head + left jamb + right jamb) Same profile, no bottom piece — for door openings sitting on a finished floor or threshold.
③ Eave Drip Trim (bottom-only, continuous run along the eave) Laid horizontally along the eave where roof meets wall — water sheds cleanly forward, never back into the wall.
Ordering flexibility: each opening (window / door / eave run) is quoted and packaged separately. Using WCT for all three applications gives one consistent color and finish across the building — no managing three SKUs.

Q1: What is a window casing, and how is it different from a window sill?
A window casing (also called window surround or window trim) is the frame that wraps the entire window opening — top, both sides, and (sometimes) bottom. A window sill is only the bottom piece. We make both — the WCT series for the full wrap, the CTB series for the sill — and they combine on the same project.
Q2: Can one WCT profile work for both window and door openings?

Q3: What projection (out-stand from wall) should I choose?
Projection is chosen by the building’s reveal depth — how far you want the casing to stand out from the wall. Common choices: 60 mm for minimal modern lines, 120 mm for medium projection, 170 mm and 250 mm for deep reveals on premium villas. If unsure, send us the facade drawing and we’ll recommend a profile.
Q4: What is the difference between WCT and ZSWCT?
WCT is the modern series — five standard projections (35 / 60 / 120 / 170 / 250 mm), 2 stock colors (Tiger Gray / Tiger Black). ZSWCT is the Chinese-style profile — single size (50mm projection), 3 stock colors including Tiger Coffee.
